Receive a shipment
Receiving is how stock officially enters Klovio. It happens on the mobile app, at the dock, as the truck is unloaded.
Receive against a shipment
- In the mobile app, open Receiving.
- Pick the inbound shipment for this delivery. Don’t see it? A manager creates it first — see Create an inbound shipment.
- Scan each item’s barcode as you unload it. Klovio adds one unit per scan; for cases, scan once and type the quantity.
- The line updates live — expected vs. received — so you can see what’s still outstanding.
- When the truck is empty, tap Finish receiving.
Blind receipt (no shipment)
For deliveries with no advance shipment, use the Receiving queue: scan items straight in and Klovio builds the receipt as you go. A manager can reconcile it to a supplier afterward.
After receiving
Received stock lands in your warehouse’s receiving area, not its final home. The next step is Put away received stock to move it to a storage location.
Discrepancies
Klovio flags any line where received ≠ expected:
- Short — fewer units than expected
- Over — more units than expected
- Damaged — flag these during receiving so they aren’t put into sellable stock
See Handle short and damaged shipments.
Tip: receive directly off the pallet as you break it down. Scanning while you handle each item once is faster than staging everything and counting twice.
