Put away received stock

After a delivery is received, the stock sits in your warehouse’s receiving area. Put-away moves it to a real storage location so it can be found and picked later.

Put away on the mobile app

1. Open Storage (put-away) in the mobile app.
2. You’ll see items waiting in the receiving area.
3. Scan an item’s barcode.
4. Carry it to a location and scan the location label.
5. Klovio records the stock at that location and removes it from the receiving area.

Repeat until the receiving area is clear. The whole flow is “scan item, scan bin” — no typing.

Why put-away matters

Until stock is put away, Klovio knows you have it but not where it is — so pickers can’t be routed to it. A tidy put-away is what keeps picking fast.

Choosing a location

• Keep fast-moving SKUs in easy-to-reach bins near the pack stations.
• Store the same SKU together where you can — it makes counts and picks simpler.
• Heavy items belong low; light items can go high.

If you scan a location that already holds a different SKU, Klovio lets you proceed (locations can be mixed) but shows you what’s already there.

Split put-away

A large receipt can go to several locations — put 40 units in one bin and 60 in an overflow bin. Just scan the relevant location for each portion.

Tip: put away the same day you receive. Stock stranded in the receiving area is stock your pickers effectively don’t have.
