Create a sales order

Last updated May 2026

A sales order tells Klovio what to ship and to whom. Orders can come in from a connected store automatically, or you can create them by hand.

Create an order manually

  1. Go to Operations → Shipping → Sales orders.
  2. Click Add new.
  3. Fill in the header — customer, ship-to address, a reference number.
  4. Add lines — each product and quantity. Search by SKU, name or barcode.
  5. Save.

Klovio reserves the stock the order needs straight away.

Orders from an integration

If you’ve connected a store — see Connect Shopify — orders flow in automatically as customers buy. You receive, pick and pack them in Klovio exactly like manual orders.

Releasing to the floor

A new order sits in Sales orders. When you’re ready for it to be worked, release it — it moves to the To pick queue and appears on the mobile app. See Pick a sales order.

Not enough stock

If a line needs more than is available, Klovio flags it. Backorder it, split the shipment, or pull stock from another location first.

Tip: release orders in waves rather than all at once. A focused To pick queue keeps pickers moving in order instead of cherry-picking the easy ones.
