Add a single product
To add products one at a time, use the product form. To load many at once, use a CSV — see Import your products with a CSV.
Create a product
- Go to Inventory → Products → All products.
- Click Add new.
- Fill in the essentials:
- Name — what staff will see
- SKU — your unique internal code
- Category — for filtering and reporting
- Barcode — the code printed on the packaging
- Optionally add unit cost, dimensions, weight and a reorder point.
- Click Save.
The product is now in your catalog and searchable everywhere.
Remember: a product isn’t stock
Creating a product does not add quantity. It’s a catalog entry. Stock arrives when you receive it or record a count. See Products and SKUs explained.
Tip: fill in unit cost and dimensions now, even if they feel optional. Cost drives valuation reports; dimensions speed up packing later.
