Import your products with a CSV

Last updated May 2026

The fastest way to load your catalog is a CSV import. Most teams bring in their full SKU list in two to three minutes.

Prepare your file

Your CSV needs one row per product and, at minimum, these columns:

ColumnRequiredExample
skuYesOOL-001-1L
nameYesOrganic Olive Oil 1L
categoryNoFood
barcodeNo055744731601
unit_costNo4.20
reorder_pointNo50

Column names are not case-sensitive, and extra columns are ignored. Save the file as UTF-8 CSV.

Run the import

  1. Go to Inventory → Products → All products.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Upload your CSV. Klovio shows a preview of the first few rows.
  4. Map each column to a Klovio field. Anything you named exactly as above maps automatically.
  5. Click Import. Rows with errors are listed so you can fix and re-upload just those.

Good to know

  • SKUs must be unique. If a SKU already exists, the import updates that product instead of creating a duplicate — so you can also use a CSV to bulk-edit.
  • Importing products does not create stock. It builds your catalog. You add quantities later by receiving shipments or doing a count.
  • Up to 500 SKUs import in a couple of minutes. Larger catalogs are fine too, they just take a little longer.

Tip: don’t have a clean export from your old system? Start with the four columns sku, name, category, barcode. You can always enrich products later.
