Sales orders overview

Last updated May 2026

A sales order is a request to ship product to a customer. Klovio walks every order through the same clear stages.

The order lifecycle

  1. Created — the order exists, with its lines and quantities. Stock is reserved.
  2. To pick — released to the floor for picking.
  3. Picking — a worker is pulling the items.
  4. To pack — picked, waiting at the pack bench.
  5. Packing — being boxed.
  6. Shipped — out the door; stock deducted.

Where to see orders

Operations → Shipping holds the queues: Sales orders (created), To pick, To pack, and Shipped. Each queue is one stage of the lifecycle.

Who does what

  • Managers create and release orders on the dashboard.
  • Floor staff pick and pack on the mobile app.

Order exceptions

If something blocks an order — a short pick, a substitution — Klovio flags it instead of letting it ship wrong. See Handle picking exceptions.

Tip: watch the To pick queue size. A growing queue means orders are coming in faster than the floor is clearing them — time to add a picker.
