Data security and backups

Your inventory data is your business. Here’s how Klovio keeps it safe.

Encryption

• In transit — every connection between your devices and Klovio uses TLS 1.3, so data is encrypted as it travels.
• At rest — stored data is encrypted with AES-256.

Passwords are hashed, never stored in readable form.

Backups

Klovio backs up your data automatically, every hour. Backups are encrypted and replicated across multiple availability zones, so a single hardware or data-center failure doesn’t put your data at risk. You don’t need to configure or run anything.

Hosting

Klovio runs on AWS — us-east-1 by default, with eu-west-1 available for customers who need EU data residency. Ask our team if region matters for your compliance needs.

Access control

Within your account, roles and permissions decide who can see and do what — see Invite your team and assign roles. A picker can’t open billing; a receiver can’t edit other people’s roles. Give people the narrowest role that lets them do their job.

Audit trail

Klovio records who did what — receipts, picks, transfers, adjustments — with timestamps. If a number ever looks wrong, the history shows how it got there.

Your data is yours

You can export your data at any time — see Export your data to CSV — and Klovio never sells it. If you close your account, you can request full deletion.

Tip: even with hourly cloud backups, a dated monthly CSV export kept on your own drive is a sound habit for audit and peace of mind.
