Close or deactivate a warehouse
When you stop using a site, you deactivate the warehouse rather than delete it — its history stays available for reporting.
Before you can close it
A warehouse must be empty of stock first. While it still holds inventory, Klovio won’t let you deactivate it. To empty it:
- Transfer the stock to another warehouse — see Transfer stock between locations, or
- Sell it down to zero, or
- Adjust out any remainder with a clear reason.
Deactivate the warehouse
- Go to Warehouse → Warehouses → All warehouses and open it.
- Confirm on-hand stock is zero.
- Click Deactivate.
The warehouse drops out of everyday lists, dropdowns and the dashboard roll-up.
What’s kept
All of its past receipts, shipments and movements remain in reporting. A closed warehouse still appears in historical reports — you just can’t receive or pick there anymore.
Reopening
If you bring the site back, reactivate the warehouse. Its locations come back with it.
Tip: run a final on-hand CSV export just before closing a site. It’s a clean record of exactly what the warehouse held on its last day.
