Check equipment out
Checking out equipment assigns an item to a person, so Klovio always knows who has what.
Check an item out
- Go to Admin → Equipment → Check out.
- Scan the equipment — or pick it from the list.
- Choose the employee taking it.
- Optionally set a due date for return.
- Confirm.
The item now shows as checked out, assigned to that person.
Set a due date
A due date turns “out” into “out, and expected back by Friday.” Items past their due date appear on the overdue list. For anything you expect back the same shift, a due date is what makes a no-return visible.
What it gives you
- Accountability — every item has a current holder on record.
- Faster mornings — no hunting for the good scanner; Klovio shows who had it last.
- A history — every check-out is logged in the item’s transaction history.
Checking it back in
When the item returns, check it in — only then does it become available to check out again.
Tip: check shared scanners out at the start of a shift and in at the end. It takes two scans and turns “where’s that device?” into a question Klovio answers.
