Run multiple warehouses

Last updated May 2026

Klovio runs any number of warehouses from a single account — a second distribution center, a regional stockroom, a 3PL site. Each is independent, but you see them all together.

Add another warehouse

  1. Go to Warehouse → Warehouses → All warehouses.
  2. Click Add new.
  3. Enter the name, address and time zone.
  4. Save, then build its locations — see Set up aisles, shelves and bins.

What’s separate per warehouse

  • Inventory — each warehouse has its own stock count.
  • Locations — aisles and bins belong to one warehouse.
  • Receiving and orders — a shipment or order is tied to one site.

What’s shared across warehouses

  • Products — your catalog is one list, used everywhere. A SKU means the same thing in every warehouse.
  • Team and roles — though you can scope a person’s access to specific sites.
  • The dashboard — it rolls every warehouse up, and lets you filter to one.

Moving stock between sites

Use a transfer with a destination location in another warehouse — see Transfer stock between locations. Stock leaves one site’s count and joins the other’s, with a full trail.

When to add a warehouse

Add one for a genuinely separate physical site. For different zones inside the same building — bulk vs. pick faces, a returns corner — use locations or staging areas instead. One building should be one warehouse.

Tip: name sites by location (WH-Houston, WH-Dallas). Once you have three or more, generic names like “Main” make every filter and report harder to read.
