Print barcode location labels

Last updated May 2026

Scannable location labels are what make Klovio fast on the floor. When every bin has a barcode, putting away and picking become “scan the item, scan the bin” — no typing, no guessing.

Before you print

Make sure your locations exist first. See Set up aisles, shelves and bins. Each location gets its own barcode automatically when it is created.

  1. Go to Warehouse → Warehouses → Locations.
  2. Select the locations you want labels for — or use Select all to do a whole warehouse.
  3. Click Create label.
  4. Choose a label size:
    • 2” × 1” — standard bin and shelf labels
    • 4” × 2” — aisle headers and large rack labels
  5. Klovio generates a print-ready PDF. Send it to any label printer or a regular printer with label sheets.

Label format

Each label shows the location code in large text (e.g. A-03-B) with a 1D barcode underneath. The code is human-readable so staff can still find a bin if a scanner is unavailable.

Re-printing

Labels get scuffed and torn — it happens. To replace one, find the location, click Create label, and print the single label. The barcode never changes, so a reprinted label works exactly like the original.

Tip: print aisle-header labels in the larger 4” × 2” size and mount them high. Pickers navigate to the right aisle by eye, then scan the bin up close.
