Camera and notification permissions
The Klovio app asks for two phone permissions. Both are worth granting.
Camera — required
The app uses the camera to scan barcodes. Without it, scanning doesn’t work — and scanning is most of what the app does. The app requests camera permission on first launch; tap Allow.
If it was declined, turn it back on: phone Settings → Klovio → Camera.
Notifications — recommended
Notifications let the app alert staff to new tasks and orders — see Mobile app notifications. Not strictly required, but useful for floor workers. Enable it in Settings → Klovio → Notifications.
What Klovio does not ask for
Klovio doesn’t need your contacts, photos or precise location. If you only ever see camera and notification prompts, that’s correct.
Fixing a declined permission
A permission turned down at the prompt isn’t permanent — every phone lets you change it later in Settings → Klovio. After granting camera access, restart the app so it picks the change up.
Tip: when setting up a fleet of devices, grant camera and notification access during setup. It saves a confused “scanning doesn’t work” call on day one.
