How integrations match SKUs
Every Klovio integration — QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify, WooCommerce — links records by SKU. Get SKUs aligned and integrations just work. Get them wrong and nothing matches.
The matching rule
When Klovio syncs with another system, it looks for a product with the same SKU on the other side. If it finds one, the records are linked. If it doesn’t, that product simply won’t sync — no order, no stock update.
Common mismatches
- Different codes — Klovio has
OOL-001-1L, the store hasolive-oil-1l. - Capitalization —
ABC-100vsabc-100. - Extra characters — a stray space, a different separator.
- Missing SKU — a product in one system has no SKU at all.
Align before you connect
Before the first sync:
- Export products from both systems.
- Compare SKUs side by side.
- Make them identical — pick one system as the source of truth and fix the other.
A CSV import is the fast way to correct SKUs in bulk.
After connecting
If a product or order won’t sync, mismatched SKU is the first thing to check — it’s the cause far more often than anything else.
Tip: settle your SKU scheme once, early, and never change a SKU on a product that’s already integrated — it breaks the link on both sides.
