Run a full physical count
A full physical count counts everything in a warehouse. Most teams do one to set opening stock when they start on Klovio, and perhaps once a year after that.
Before you count
- Schedule it for outside operating hours, or pause receiving and picking.
- Make sure every location is labeled — see Print barcode location labels.
- Have enough counters and devices for the floor.
Run the count
- Go to Inventory → Inventory → Cycle counts and start a count scoped to the whole warehouse.
- Split locations across your counters.
- Each counter works location by location: scan the location, scan each item, enter the quantity.
- Klovio tracks coverage so you can see what’s still uncounted.
Apply the results
When every location is counted, review the differences and apply them. For a first-time count, this establishes your stock; thereafter it corrects it.
First-time setup
Setting opening stock? A full count is the most reliable way — better than typing quantities in. You finish with stock that matches the floor exactly, location by location.
Tip: count the same way twice in high-value zones — two counters, independently. Where they agree, you’re done; where they differ, recount just that bin.
