Build a custom report
When a standard report doesn’t quite answer your question, build a custom one.
Build it
In Reports, choose Custom report and define:
- What — products, stock, receipts, shipments, movements
- Columns — the fields you want to see
- Filters — warehouse, category, date range, status
- Grouping — totals by category, by warehouse, by supplier
Save it so you — and your team — can run it again with one click.
When a list view is enough
Often you don’t need the report builder at all. Every list — products, on-hand, history — already filters, sorts and exports to CSV. For many questions, a filtered list is the report. Reach for the custom builder when you need grouping, totals, or fields combined across data the list views keep separate.
Or finish it in a spreadsheet
For one-off, exploratory analysis, export a filtered view and pivot it in a spreadsheet. The report builder is for the questions you’ll ask repeatedly — those are worth saving.
Tip: name saved reports for the question, not the data — “Weekly reorder list,” not “Products filtered by low stock.” Anyone on the team then knows what it answers.
